TIMESMATARAM, GRESIK – Joko Iwan, a guy of Gresik who makes pancake as his living turned his house into an art gallery and school to teach the kids around his house about the art painting.

Joko through his new gallery which is located at Jalan Kapten Dulasim, Gresik, is trying to introduce the right way to paint to the kids. Since it was firstly opened, the gallery has held 4 times art exhibition.

He also took the local community to join him in certain activities that included art in it such as shirt painting, painting the lantern (Damar Kurung), making some caricatures, lettering, stencils and live sketching.

"Praise the Lord, this gallery has gotten positive welcome from the local community. I hope that this place could be one venue to explore more of local talents in painting," Iwan said on Friday (14/2/2020).

In addition, the guy also said he has planned to make his very own gallery since he was young. This guy loves painting and started to paint since he was a kid.

"I owned this pancake business from my father. And at then, when I was a kid, I usually steal my father's chocolate and use it as my ink," Iwan said at his art gallery in Gresik. (*)
